In July 2010, Helen was a guest artist at the Fairbanks Art Festival on the University if Alaska-Fairbanks campus, and in August and September she taught watercolor workshops at Lawrence University’s northern campus, Bjorklunden, in Bailey’s Harbor, Door County, WI.
Helen's teaching is featured in an article in American Artist On-Line, "Teaching Watercolor Workshops to Beginners: Pitfalls to Avoid," by Leanne MacLennan.

In June 2009, Helen was a guest artist in the Texas Tech summer program at Junction, Texas for the graduate art education seminar. The Pedagogy of Juggling: Leadership, Artistic Practice and the Life of a an Engaged Artist
In April 2009, Helen was a visiting artist at Finlandia, University in Hancock, Michigan where she presented on The Personal is Political in Art Too: Art and Activism.
